The Seoul International Film Festival in your hand

KT (CEO: Nam, Joong-Su) recently announced that the entries to the Eighth Seoul International Film Festival, which is being held until September 16, will be broadcast for free via KT Wibro and Mega TV until the end of this year.

KT is planning to broadcast about 100 short films via SeeU, its WiBro UCC service. The films can then be viewed on mobile devices and WiBro phones outside theaters.

This year, Seoul International Film Festival offers the state-of-the-art visual environment by screening "A Postcard from the Future", the first 4K (4096x2048) HD film in Korea, as well as the Filmless Film Festival, using KT's digital-cinema platform.

In particular, the organizers of Seoul International Film Festival and KT will offer a special screening of films that have been selected at the KT Digital-Contents Competition, and will consolidate practical collaborative and exchange projects with KT WiBro and Mega TV so as to promote the digital-contents industry.

Since last September 6 and until September 16, the Seoul International Film Festival secretariat will screen 131 films from 25 countries (64 full-length films, and 67 short films)?under the Cinema Division (films screened for theaters) and the Net Division (films screened online)? at the Lotte Cinema, near Konkuk University. The festival's Net Division will also screen 155 works from 38 countries via new-media platforms like KT WiBro and Mega TV as well as through the festival's official Web site (http://www.senef.net).
