"Thirst" to be quenched in April

Park Chan-wook's "Thirst" – by many regarded as the most anticipated film of the year – is among the first big projects to announce its release. Thirst will draw first blood on 30 April.

PARK collected an impressive line-up with Song Kang-ho taking charge of the lead role. He will play a priest who turns into a vampire when he tests a newly developed vaccine on himself. He then develops strong feelings for his friend's wife; the couple will be portrayed by Kim Ok-vin and Shin Ha-kyun.

PARK's international appeal brought Hollywood studios Universal and Focus aboard the CJ Entertainment project.PARK confirmed rumours about being sought after by Hollywood, saying he receives a Hollywood scenario on a weekly basis.
