"Three Brothers" knocks out competition for eighth week

KBS2 family drama "Three Brothers" continued to skyrocket in ratings to remain the most-watched television show for the eighth consecutive week, statistics showed on Monday.

Figures from TNS Korea and AGB Nielsen Media Research revealed that the series brought in viewership ratings of 39.4 percent and 38.7 percent, respectively, during the week of April 5 to 11.

The weekend drama, based on the lives of three brothers, has been fetching in high ratings since first airing in October 2009, indicating it may soon breach the 40 percent mark.

Meanwhile, KBS2's variety program "Happy Sunday" reclaimed the No. 2 position with ratings of 28.8 percent and 27 percent on the two charts.

Rounding out the top three shows this week was MBC's "World Changing Quiz" with 21.1 percent on TNS' poll, while AGB's survey indicated weekend drama "Definitely Neighbors" came in third with a viewership rating of 20.4 percent.
