"Three Brothers" remains victorious for fifth week

KBS2 family drama "Three Brothers" was the most-watched television show in South Korea last week, remaining atop ratings charts for a fifth consecutive week, according to statistics on Monday.

Figures by TNS Korea and AGB Nielsen Media Research revealed that the show brought in viewership ratings of 37.2 percent and 36.8 percent, respectively, to continue its reign for the week of March 15 to 21.

The weekend drama, based on the lives on three brothers, has seen its popularity grow continuously since its first airing in October 2009 which recorded ratings in the 20 percent range.

Meanwhile, KBS2 historical drama "The Slave Hunters" stayed in second place with ratings of 30.8 percent on TNS' poll and 29.0 percent on AGB's survey.

Rounding off the top three shows was variety show "Happy Sunday" with ratings of 27.6 percent and 25.7 percent on both charts, respectively.
