"Three Brothers" stay strong for 11th week

KBS2 TV series "Three Brothers" maintained its hold on TV ratings charts as the most-watched show in the country for the eleventh consecutive week.

According to the figures by TNS Media Korea and AGB Nielsen Media Research on Monday, the family drama recorded ratings of 37.8 and 36.2 percent, respectively, during the week of April 26 to May 2.

The ratings for the weekend series, about the lives of three brothers, has been climbing since the start of its run in October 2009, indicating it may soon breach the 40-percent mark.

Meanwhile, after a five-week hiatus of most of Korea's entertainment programs due to the mysterious explosion of naval ship Cheonan in late March, KBS2 variety show "Happy Sunday" ranked second on TNS' poll with ratings of 23.3 percent, while AGB's chart indicated MBC's drama "Life is Good" was the No. 2 TV show in the country with ratings of 21.4 percent.

"Life is Good" rounded out the top three shows on TNS' survey with a rating score of 23 percent and AGB's chart showed MBC's historical series "Dong Yi" came in third with ratings of 21.3 percent.
