Uhm Tae-woong has been cast as the head coach of the Korean women's handball team in the movie 'The Best Moment of Our Lives' ("Forever the Moment") which draws the story of the 2004 Korean Handball team at the Athens Olympics.

The movie which also cast Moon So-ri, Kim Jung-eun and others will feature Uhm Tae-woong as the former star player Seung Pil who also played in Europe and returns to become the coach of the Korean women's handball team. While he utilizes scientific training methods, he encounters conflicts with the older team members such as Mi Ohk (Moon So-ri) and Hye Kyung (Kim Jung-eun).

Personnel of Uhm Tae-woong commented, "He decided to make the appearance based on the fact that it is Director Yim Soon-rye's first piece in six years and the trust in the production company".

The Korean handball team at the finals of the 2004 Athens Olympics carried on the game through double overtime against Denmark, the world's strongest handball team, and the Associated Press called it one of the 10 greatest matches. The movie will draw upon the passion, life, and love of the women's handball team who struggle through being in one of the less popular sports and reach being one of the best in the world.
