Veteran Actress Wins Critics' Award for Sex Slavery Film

Veteran actress Na Moon-hee on Thursday won best actress at the Korean Association of Film Critics Award for her leading role in the movie "I Can Speak".

Na plays a woman forced to serve as a sex slave by Japanese troops during World War II.

"I'm so thankful to everyone. I'm speechless in accepting the best actress award", Na said. "In spite of my age, I will try to keep learning new things and inspire young people and give them hope".

But it was "The Fortress", a period flick starring Lee Byung-hun, that took the most awards, for best movie, directing, cinematography and music.

Sol Kyung-gu won best actor for the crime movie "The Merciless" and Choi Hui-Seo Won best new actress for her role in "Anarchist from Colony" about an independence fighter during the colonial era.

Best new actor went to Park Seo-joon for the comedy "Midnight Runners".
