Teaser trailer released for the upcoming Korean documentary "Moo-hyun, the Story of Two Cities"

"Moo-hyun, the Story of Two Cities" (2016)

Directed by Jeon In-hwan

We are coming to you now.

Roh Moo-hyun is very much like Carton, the lawyer from Charles Dickens' novel "The Story of Two Cities". Like Carton who died for Danny, we lost Roh Moo-hyun. It's been 7 years since his death. How do we remember him today from the past? "Moo-hyun, the Story of Two Cities" is the first documentary movie about ex-president Roh Moo-hyun and about how his wish for a 'world for people' implies on us.
It was the best of time and the worst of cases. It was a time of wisdom and a time of foolishness. It was the time of faith and time of distrust. It was a time of light and a time of darkness. It was the autumn of hope and the winter of despair. It was everything to us and nothing. We all were going to heaven and we all were going the other way.

- "From The Story of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens
While writer Kim Won-myeong was thinking hard about the injustice happening around the world, he thought about the time he met Roh Moo-hyun, his father's friend when he was young. Drawing into the seventh year of his death, Won-myeong sets out to find people who have had connections with Moo-hyun in the past. The movie is based on Yeong-nam and Ho-nam, two cities that trace back the steps of Roh Moo-hyun who poured out his passion on the progress of these ares and breaking down authoritarianism. We understand the movie through the words of those who remember him.

Release date in Korea : 2016/10
