What's the Best Time to Walk for Exercise?

The best time for walking in the city for exercise is around 1 p.m. That is when the concentration of pollutants is the lowest and lunch is settling.

"As temperatures are higher in the afternoon than in the morning or evening, pollutants in the air diffuse", Prof. Kim Tae-oh at Kumoh National Institute of Technology said. "So it's best to walk around 1 o'clock after lunch as far away from the roads as possible".

Prof. Im Young-wook at Yonsei University recommends exercising in a leafy area at least 3 m away from the road as car emissions rarely reach as far as that.
