Will Han Ji-hye and Lee Bo-young catch up with Ha Ji-won?

2014/02/09 | Permalink | Source

It's the battle of the aces.

While Ha Ji-won's "Empress Qi" is currently in the lead, Han Ji-hye and Lee Bo-young, also known as the 'hit makers' are coming back.

Han Ji-hye was awarded the Grand Award at the MBC Drama Awards 2013 for "Gold, Appear!" and this time she's competing with Ha Ji-won. She stars as Han Yeong-won, a woman who turns cold after losing her lover in a gun shoot in Thailand in the newly upcoming drama "The Full Sun".

Lee Bo-young was awarded the SBS Drama Awards Grand Prize in 2013 and she's starring in the new SBS drama "God's Gift - 14 Days" coming after "Kind Words". She takes on a motherly role this time, along with Cho Seung-woo, her co-star.

"Empress Qi" rated 25.3% at the maximum and many wonder if Han Ji-hye and the newly married Lee Bo-young will be able to beat Ha Ji-won who's currently on a roll.

The February drama cast are good enough to be called the dream team. While "Empress Qi" has mesmerized viewers with its historical outline, the traditional mellow and time slip dramas should be some good competitors.
