A 42-minute film produced by actor Yoo Ji-tae entitled "How Does the Blind Dream" has been invited to the 28th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival slated for Jan. 28 in France.

The film's overseas distributor, Film Messenger, reported on Dec. 15 that the festival's organizers sent their official invitation to present the film in the Special Discovery category on Dec. 13. The company also added that the organizers initially wanted to invite the film to compete in the main Short Film category but had to include it in another category, as only films with a running time of less than 40 minutes are qualified to compete in the main category.

"How Does the Blind Dream", Yoo's fifth short film, stars actors Oh Kwang-rok and Oh Dal-soo. It is a story about a blind masseurs who gives in to a woman's temptation one day and consequently faces prejudice and hatred.

The film was invited to the Wide Angle section of this year's Pusan International Film Festival, and was screened at the Asiana International Short Film Festival.

Other Korean films to compete at next year's Clermont-Ferrand festival include director Kwon Ji-yeon's movie "Red Manicure" and Kim Hyo-jeong's "A Rabbit And A Bear". In the LAB Competition, which features productions that use innovative techniques, invited films include director Kih-Hoon Kim's movie "The Mode of Disappearance".
