ZE:A tops Oricon's int'l weekly music chart with 1st Japanese single

Nine-member boy band ZE:A - Children of Empire has topped Oricon's weekly music chart with their first Japanese single, according to its official website.

On Wednesday, Oricon's official website revealed that the Japanese version of ZE:A - Children of Empire's special album "Exciting~" came in first place on Oricon's International weekly music chart during the week of August 22 to 28.

"Exciting~" had made its debut at No. 2 on Oricon's daily chart upon its release on August 24 and maintained its position in sixth place for two weeks on the weekly album chart.

Just recently, the boys completed their promotional events in Japan for "Exciting~" with live concerts and various events such as the series of handshaking sessions with some 10,000 fans in attendance.

ZE:A - Children of Empire -- formed of members Moon Jun-young, Kim Dong-jun, Jung Hee-chul, Kevin, Hwang Kwanghee, Ha Min-woo, Im Si-wan, Park Hyung-sik and Kim Tae-hun -- made their debut with single "Mazeltov" in January of last year.

The group has returned to Korea to begin preparations for their new album.
