In the year, 2020, Lee Do-hyun rose to fame as he starred as a lead in "18 Again". The drama was an adaptation of the Hollywood movie, "17 Again". It told the story of Hong  Dae-yeong (Yoon Sang-hyun), who wished to go back to the time when he was 18. One day, his wish becomes reality as his body ages back to that of an 18 year old. Lee Do-hyun played the role of an 18 year-old Hong  Dae-yeong. Fans were fascinated and impressed at how he perfectly embodied the behavior of a middle-aged man. It was both hilarious and impressive. One of the scenes that has still remained iconic was Hong  Dae-yeong's first meeting with his daughter after the change. Fans still applaud him for his immaculent acting.

From then began the list of various roles played to perfection by Lee Do-hyun. Soon, he appeared as Lee  Eun-hyeok in "Sweet Home". A genius med-student who soon begins to lead the residents of the building after a vicious infection begins turning humans into savage monsters.

As if he had not captured the hearts of K-Dramas yet. Lee Do-hyun appeared as the ideal love interest, Hwang  Hee-tae, in "Youth of May". Lee Do-hyun kept the soft concept in "Melancholia" and even, in his latest drama, "The Glory". But here he came with a twist. His character, Joo  Yeo-jeong, held a dark side to him. He often fantasized about murdering his father's killer. This shocked fans to see that side mastered by Lee Do-hyun. To the point, we felt shivers.

Soon after, Lee Do-hyun came on screen as the most complex character in his career, Choi  Kang-ho in "The Good Bad Mother". The drama tells the tale of Jin  Yeong-soon (Ra Mi-ran), who had to raise her son all alone after her husband died in tragedy. Wishing to have her son grown up as a powerful prosecutor, she became a bad mother. Because of her strict discipline, Choi  Kang-ho grew up to become a wealthy but cold-hearted prosecutor. Things take a turn when he gets involved in an accident and becomes a 7 year-old again. The way Lee Do-hyun mastered the role of a man with the cognitive ability of a 7 year-old amazed everyone. He holds the same innocence in his eyes like a seven-year-old. He neither over exaggerated his behavior but kept it so close to reality. Keep in mind that it is not an character that anyone can play.

Perhaps, it is safe to say that he has proven himself as the most versatile actor with the range of characters that he has played. "The Good Bad Mother" could be the biggest milestone in his career. Do you agree?
