Lee Do-hyun won the male new acting award in the film category for his film "Exhuma" at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 7th.

Lee Do-hyun won the New Actor Award in the TV category for the JTBC drama "18 Again" in 2021, and also won the New Actor Award in the Film category. In the 60-year history of the Baeksang Arts Awards, only six male actors, including Lee Do-hyun, have won the Rookie of the Year award in both categories.

Claiming his award, Lee Do-hyun said, "It was very difficult when I played the role of Bong-gil in "Exhuma", but I thought it was a huge challenge and a good opportunity for me. I worked hard thinking that I really want to do well. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the seniors and the director".

In addition, he expressed his affection to his lover Lim Ji-yeon, saying, "Thank you so much, my beloved father, mother, brother, dog, Autumn, and Ji-yeon", drawing enthusiastic cheers from the audience.

"I heard that the Baeksang Arts Awards will be celebrating its 60th birthday this year. I will be forty when it turns seventy, so I will try harder to become Lee Do-hyun who challenges for the best acting award. I will do my best in military service as a soldier Lim Dong-hyun, and I will visit you as actor Lee Do-hyun in May next year", he added.

"Exhuma" is an occult mystery film about bizarre incidents that occur to feng shui, undertakers, and shamans who moved suspicious graves for a large amount of money.

Lee Do-hyun raised the level of immersion in the work by playing the role of Bong-gil, a shaman who shouts the buddhist scripture. In particular, Lee Do-hyun led the syndrome by completing the look of a hip "MZ shaman" with tattoos engraved all over his body, long hair, and headsets, making him a '10 million actor' with his screen debut.

Meanwhile, Lee Do-hyun is serving in the military in the Air Force military band. He is set to release the "Sweet Home - Season 3" this year.
