Actress Moon Geun-young will appear onstage at the Cannes International Film Festival in France, which kicks off on May 11. According to the production company of Moon's latest movie "Innocent Steps" on May 11, Moon will appear in front of the Cannes festival audience on May 12 at 9:30 a.m. (local time) at the Palais de Festival.
Moon will visit Cannes as "Innocent Steps" was chosen to be shown at the film market of the 58th Cannes International Film Festival. Both the movie and its lead actress are expected to draw significant attention from buyers from around the world.
"Innocent Steps" opened on April 28, and has since drawn some 1.3 million viewers. She said she accepted the invitation to visit Cannes to contribute to the movie's popularity abroad despite her busy school schedule ahead of upcoming college exams.
Moon's popularity had soared recently in Southeast Asia for her role in the movie "My Little Bride".
