[HanCinema's News] "Decision to Leave" to Start Streaming on South Korean VOD

The melodrama "Decision to Leave" is set to leave theaters and enter the secondary markets this coming August 9th. The news was announced as various VOD providers in the South Korean market have confirmed August 9th as the first day of availability for the acclaimed film from director Park Chan-wook. The story concerns the death of a man in a rural area. An investigator played by Park Hae-il then becomes entwined with the man's widow, played by Tang Wei.

"Decision to Leave" had shown strong resilience at the South Korean box office, and was available at most South Korean theaters for most of July. However, by August interest had finally died down. Some had hoped that "Decision to Leave" would be able to break the two million viewer mark off of this unexpectedly strong long-term performance, but the film is currently slated to leave theaters with around 1.8 million admissions to its credit.
