According to figures released by the Korean Film Council on October 2nd, "Dr. Cheon and the Lost Talisman" has earned in excess of one hundred million admissions at the South Korean box office. "Dr. Cheon and the Lost Talisman" passed the milestone in its fifth day of availability on October 1st, having been released in South Korean theaters on September 26th. The horror film is also the top performing movie of the country's long Chuseok weekend.

"Dr. Cheon and the Lost Talisman" has been gaining further ground on "Road to Boston" in second place, with the former having around double the box office receipts of the latter. Neither movie has performed very well historically- the Korean Chuseok market is normally far more lucrative than this, with bigger hits achieving twice or even three times this many admissions. This puts the upcoming romantically themed "Love Reset" in a strong position for next week's box office.
