On September 23rd the Korean Film Council released figures for the weekend box office. "The Bad Guys: Reign of Chaos" was once again on top of the charts with a total of over 3.9 million credited admissions.
"The Bad Guys: Reign of Chaos" is based on the "Bad Guys" drama and characters, albeit on a larger scale. It deals with four criminals with notoriously fearsome reputations who assist law enforcement in dealing with powerful figures in the criminal underworld.
There were no other new South Korean movies premiering this week. Though "The Bad Guys: Reign of Chaos" suffered a steep drop in admissions compared to Korean Thanksgiving weekend, it easily outperformed the week's two foreign imports of note.
