[HanCinema's News] Coupang Play Offers Free "Ransomed" Promotion

On September 8th, the South Korean streaming platform revealed that the recent historical action film "Ransomed" would be available for free from September 15th to September 17th. "Ransomed" will be made free to watch via the CPlay Club reward, which offers various short-term perks to users of the service. Previously, Coupang Play made John Wick: Chapter 4 available as a perk to subscribers back in June.

Despite the length of time between the two promotions, a Coupang Play representative claimed that active work was being done to allow subscribers access to a wide variety of contents through the program. "Ransomed" stars Ha Jung-woo as a diplomat and Ju Ji-hoon as a cab driver attemping to rescue a consular official in Lebanon who's been taken hostage. Through September 8th, "Ransomed" received 1,057,865 admissions at the South Korean box office.
