[HanCinema's News] Kong Hyun-joo Confirms That She's Expecting Twins

A recent Instagram post from Kong Hyun-joo revealed new information about the actress's pregnancy. In the post, Kong Hyun-joo stated that her husband brought presents from various acquaintances, and also included relevant pictures. One such present was a prominent cake, which read "Congratulation" in English, the phrase "welcome twins" in Korean, and "let's meet you healthily" in Korean.

The frosting on the cake also includes two faces, one of which has a ribbon. This seems to imply that Kong Hyun-joo is expecting fraternal twins, one a girl and the other a boy. Kong Hyun-joo was thankful for the cake, although she suggested that the sex of the babies was still speculative. Kong Hyun-joo noted that baby clothes and books were also among the presents.
Kong Hyun-joo married a non-celebrity one year her senior in 2019. Her anticipated due date is July, although as the Instagram post demonstrates, she's already showing a significant baby bump. Kong Hyun-joo last appeared in "Weak Hero Class 1" last year as the mother of the character played by Park Jihoon. She has no confirmed upcoming projects, and it is not known when or if she intends to go back to work after giving birth.
