JTBC's "The Atypical Family" is a story about Bok Gwi-joo (Jang Ki-yong) who has extraordinary abilities saving Da-hae (Chun Woo-hee), his fated destiny. It is Jang Ki-yong's first work since his return from military service. Gwi-joo suffers from depression and loses his superpower. He can only time-slip back to his happy times. Just when happiness and his ability begin to disappear, Da-hae appears and he faces change. Da-hae is tricked into living together by the Bok's family, who have lost their abilities due to insomnia, bulimia, and smartphone addiction.

Jang Ki-yong said, "It's been a while, so I'm half excited and half worried". Chun Woo-hee said, "It's a warm drama about family and happiness", adding, "I'm looking forward to how it will work with and actor like Jang Ki-yong".

The drama is directed by director Jo Hyeon-tak of "SKY Castle" (2018-2019) and "Snowdrop" (2021-2022), written by Joo Hwa-mi, author of "Marriage, Not Dating" (2014) and "Meow, the Secret Boy" (2020), and Kang Eun-kyeong, writer of "Dr. Romantic" seasons 1 to 3 (2016-2023). It's scheduled to air next year.
