Pusan Film Festival Ends 9-Day Run

After nine days and over two hundred films, the curtains have come down on Asia's biggest film festival.
In Korea's port city of Busan, fans got to meet some of their stars while film directors showed off latest works, and distributors checked on the latest movie offerings.

Curtains have come down on the 11th Pusan International Film Festival after a star-studded nine-day run.
Haeundae Beach bustled with five-thousand spectators who attended the one-hour finale followed by the screening of the closing film "Crazy Stone" directed by Chinese director Ning Hao.
The New Currents Prize for emerging talent, the festival's only competition was awarded to Malaysian-Chinese director Tan Chui Mui for "Love Conquers All" and to China's Heng Yang for "Betelnut".
The two movies were part of almost 250 films from around 60 countries featured at Asia's largest film gathering attended by 200-thousand visitors.
Sixty-four films made their world premieres setting a new record.
The festival also provided a venue for moviemakers to get down to business.
The inaugural Asian Film Market covered all aspects of the industry from equipment, production to actors.
Some 560 companies from 40 countries and 3,500 industry staff took part.
Marking the start of its second decade, the festival has laid groundwork for its future by holding a large number of world premieres, and strengthening the business side of show business.
